Jay Brittingham

With DTC USA since: 2012

Background
Jay, along with his wife Trainer Heather, began fostering dogs for a Golden Retriever rescue organization in 2003. They ensured that each foster dog received proper training before finding their forever homes, resulting in a remarkable success rate with no dogs returned to the rescue. When the opportunity arose to work at Dog Training Camp USA, Jay turned his passion for dog training into a fulfilling career. With nearly 11 years at DTC USA, Jay has continuously honed his skills as an AKC Canine Good Citizen tester, specializing in group classes and foundation to Therapy & Service Dog training. He truly enjoys training both humans and dogs!

Jay and Heather have been married since 1992. They enjoy the outdoors and occasionally shooting pool. Jay enjoys a bit of woodworking. One of their very favorite vacation spots is the Outer Banks.

Where
Jay and Heather reside in Roxboro on a beautiful 6-acre property with their four dogs. Jaxson, a rescue Australian Shepherd, has a unique personality that shines through once he trusts you. Flynn, a Golden Retriever, is their ball-obsessed companion who shares an unbreakable bond with Duncan. Nova, the self-proclaimed princess, warms up quickly and becomes an athletic coach.
